Warhawk Stats Fixed?!
Posted September 16th, 2007 by Thrillhouse17Filed Under: Thrillhouse17, PS3
It’s no secret that Warhawk has been a resounding commercial success on the PS3, but has been plagued with server stat problems. Now, after weeks of Medals, Ribbons, Badges and Points being lost forever, it appears that whatever issue cursed this otherwise excellent game has been resolved.
Is this a permanent fix? Or is this simply a fluke? I have been playing Warhawk daily since release, and have lost a grand total 5235 points. You can imagine my surprise when today, after 15 days, my stats finally changed. Will this be a regular occurrence? Only time will tell…
Update: Curse ye who dares play this game. I played for about two more hours, only to find all points accrued in that time stuck in stat limbo. How many server restarts have they had now, three? This is beyond unacceptable.
Update Two: In what creates further confusion some of my “stat improvements” seem to have lumped together, all hitting at the same time. I understand that the servers need time to refresh and reload stats, but what puzzles me is that while sitting at the main menu I received congratulations on achieving a new rank. A rank I don’t have enough stat points for. This game is 12 flavors of crazy.

LOL stats are working a little but it’s not like before when they didn’t work at all. But the saddest thing that happened to me earlier in the morning today was that the game promoted me from Wingman (and I cf course don’t have what it takes to be a wingman) to Sergeant Major (I only have 3000 points so far and requirement for being a sergeant major is that you have to earn 15000 points). Fuck Sony and Incognito Im’ buying a xbox elite

I let my best friend play when he came over this weekend. I didn’t really notice any updating. Guess there’s still a bit of a delay.
While I understand many people’s screams about Warhawk, there’s no way I giving up on the PS3 especially with so many good titles coming out here in the next few months.

You gotta give ‘em time; they are bran new to this. This wasn’t developed by Bungie Studios. Stat tracking is only bells and whistles to a game. It shouldn’t make or break it. How’s the gameplay? Does lack of a Singleplayer Story Mode make you regret the purchase?

Apparently they’ve gotten the stats fixed…or at least it looks like it, finally. It took them a couple weeks, and a couple server restarts, but it seems like they did it.
Stat tracking is admittedly not the most important part, but it is very important, especially when the game is online only. It gives you an incentive to work towards, a meaning to all the hours spent playing. If achievements didn’t work on 360 games would you be upset? I would be.
I don’t regret the purchase at all, and love the game. Once you get the hang of it, Warhawk really becomes an incredible experience.
