one suggestion to start, check to see how I do my show topics and show notes at http://www.thegamerspub.com you should think about doing your show note layout like that, it helps the listeners know what is going on

As far as the show, it was the best so far.

As for the whole PS3 complaining issue, I beg to differ.
You can call it complaining. I call it standing up for what I believe in.

I didn’t buy the Xbox 360 at launch. I waited around six months and then got one. I refused to buy the PS3 at launch as well.

It’s not about having all the games at one time. I barely play one game completely through a month now.

It’s simply about putting your best foot foward. You’re right. Microsoft suffered their first year. You would think Sony would avoid that same mistake. The only difference is that Microsoft had Xbox Live to keep people gaming.

I laughed because I remember all of you saying how you were going to buy games on the Xbox 360 and forgo the PS3 versions. Why is that again?

You own PS3s…why not use them especially when the red ring of death could be right around the corner.

I don’t hate the PS3. I don’t hate Sony. I just think they made a mistake launching last year and it absolutely shows now that they’ve had to push everything back to 2008.

You keep your PS3s and enjoy all those games you’re purchasing for them. I’ll buy a fresh and cheaper one when Sony is finally ready to launch.

L1T I completely understand and see your point of view. But what you’re saying is that Sony hasn’t given gamers anything.

Honestly what seems so confusing is that in the first episode of PSH radio (The Guesthouse) you proclaimed how amazing the PS3 is and will to be.

Now you feel the opposite and are citing “things” in The Manor for not supporting the PS3. I think the Intro to The Manor explains our feelings about The Industry and the way we think about it. We complained and discussed Sony’s new sku because Sony has always bragged about having backwards compatibility when the competition didn’t. And it is all handled via software now anyway and could easily have been added. I’m just a gamer and want to play games, and look out for other gamer’s interests. Thats the point of having a website and podcast.

Its awesome to think about Sony trying to please your economic status, but its about the Games and if you want to play what the Playstation 3 has to offer and will have to offer, then you might want to keep owning a Playstation 3.

isn’t it amazing how much things have turned around from this gen compared to last gen?

There are so many similarities between the ps3 and the xbox and the xbox 360 with the ps2, its like they completely swapped spots

It is amazing how the situation has flip-flopped.

I sold my used PS3 due to more than just my moral stance. I saw it as a cheap route to get six free blu-ray movies by purchasing the new system in November for the same price I sold my old one.

Instead of all that needless stuff like backwards compatibility and media inputs, I’d much rather enjoy the High Definition capabilities of this powerful machine.

I wrote the article because I wanted to bring attention to PSHradio. I didn’t lie. I just told you what I wanted you to know. I love the PS3. I love the structure they’ve laid down. I just wish Sony was more aggressive and prepared for this holiday launch.

When publishers start thinking about moving their games to other consoles, you’ve got to be more intelligent and aggressive in the marketplace. I fear that Sony’s approach to this holiday will affect my investment. Less exclusives make owning the PS3 less of a selling point. This will directly affect the vicious cycle of supply and demand.

Less exclusives on PS3 + Cheaper Xbox 360s = Less demand for Ps3

Less demand + high supply of Ps3s = Lack of profit

If a system is not attractive to consumers and it’s not making any progress towards being in the black, you better believe developers will avoid it like the BLACK plague. I just hope people like Kojima-san and Kitaue-san decide that the PS3 is still worth backing after this holiday.

I think the PS3 has more (and more interesting/diverse) exclusives this holiday than 360. And next year even moreso, since we have no idea what Microsoft has in store beyond Lost Odyssey and Halo Wars.
